What will I do as an Accounts Receivable Manager?
- Oversee the AR functions for multiple business entities, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and payment collections
- Monitor AR aging reports and take proactive measures to reduce any overdue accounts
- Evaluate customer creditworthiness and establish credit limits in coordination with the sales team
- Develop and implement AR policies and procedures to improve efficiency and minimize bad debt
- Investigate and resolve customer payment discrepancies, disputes, and billing issues promptly
- Prepare monthly AR reports and present key metrics to senior management
- Collaborate with sales team to address customer account issues and maintain strong customer relationships
- Lead and mentor the AR team, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in AR management
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field, preferred, however requisite experience could qualify
- 5 years of experience in AR management
- Knowledge of collections
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products, particularly Excel and Outlook
- A high degree of organization, accuracy, and attention to detail
- A history of providing excellent customer service
- The ability to effectively communicate and work with all levels of the organization
- Effectiveness in working independently and as a team
- A pattern of maintaining high accuracy and work efficiency to meet regular deadlines
- Familiarity with the wholesale fuel distribution industry is a plus
