The program manager is responsible for managing all aspects of production toward the highest levels of communications effectiveness and production efficiency and quality. The program manager works closely with the colleagues on the Communications team to assess needs and produce communications products that effectively deliver relevant messaging. The program manager knows their target audience; and knows how to deliver the right message, through the right channel at the right time. To be successful, analytical skills, editing, design, strong oral and written communication skills, project management skills as well as problem-solving skills are required. As an experienced professional who is proactive and results-oriented, with solid relationship skills, this manager must be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task. This person must possess strong project management skills and be capable of interfacing with all parts of the organization from senior executives to field employees.
- Assign production work to a designated group of artists and provide day-to-day direction to the group including feedback and coaching.
- Provide project analysis, timing, budget input and production issue feedback to project managers or director as appropriate.
- Identify and recommend alternative communications solutions to issues.
- May write copy for collateral print pieces.
- May provide / manage photographic / videography services.
- Maintain a consistent level of production and file preparation for high-end assembly.
- Execute advanced projects and resolve complicated situations.
- Maintain production knowledge by keeping current with industry developments.
- Develop, implement and / or maintain communications tactics and content that support the communications strategies.
- Develop concepts and scripts for JEA owned and paid media including collateral, jea.com, videos, audios, podcasts, and social media.
- Measure and analyze all multimedia projects.
- Identify needs, objectives and design approaches for each initiative and develop schedules and budgets accordingly.
- Provide performance reports to management as agreed upon.
- Work collaboratively with various departments to deliver relevant training components.
- Manage the full complement of multimedia requirements for owned media.
- Perform other duties as required.
