The Director of Business Analytics plays an integral role in the Jacksonville Jaguars organization as a member of the Analytics team. This person will work closely with various cross-functional groups such as marketing and sales and a team of data analysts to develop reports and models that support business goals. - Oversee the collection and analysis of complex business data identifying trends and opportunities.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide actionable insights.
- Implement predictive analytics and statistical analyses to optimize business processes.
- Build, mentor, and manage a data analytics team, emphasizing innovation and continuous learning.
- Present data findings and recommendations to cross-functional groups in a clear and compelling manner.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from a variety of company stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to initiate new projects or improve existing processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Ability to prioritize and manage workloads effectively for both self and team, ensuring timely delivery of high-impact projects while balancing multiple competing priorities.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, along with experience using BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning, including regression models.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Background in A/B testing and customer segmentation.
- Experience analyzing sales and marketing data.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring data accuracy and completeness, making data more actionable for the organization.
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience with AWS data products.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) applications, such as Salesforce.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data pipeline development.
- Experience working in a sports organization.
