Position Summary :
The duties of the University Student Assistant in the Office of the Provost are to provide excellent customer service to visitors, students, staff, and faculty. You will be required to work independently and meet deadlines as needed while maintaining confidentiality of information. Proficiency in Microsoft programs and knowledge of social media platforms, as well as digital publishing platforms is required. The University Student Assistant will also assist with events and maintain organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Additional duties as required by the department.
Positions may be filled based on individual applicants' skills, qualifications, and departmental needs.
Adheres to all department and University policies and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Customer Service; answering phone professionally and directing calls or taking messages.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of social media platforms.
- Experience with digital publishing platforms (Canva, Adobe, Menti, etc.).
- Organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills; creativity.
- Assisting with events.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with a diverse body of faculty, staff, students, and visitors.
- Maintaining confidentiality.
- Additional duties as required by the department.
