As the creative mind behind our social media presence, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that captivate our audience and elevate our brand. You will create compelling content on an array of topics, from education and conservation to our resident animals and botanical gardens, and manage multiple social media platforms.
To be considered for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields and proven experience in writing, content development, and public relations. You should also be proficient in website management and have a strong command of major social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
You have keen attention to detail and are up-to-date with current trends, curating content that resonates with audiences and drives engagement. You are skilled in web content development, seamlessly integrating brand messaging with user experience. Your passion for creating captivating visuals and compelling copy guides visitors on a journey of discovery and conversion.
You are familiar with web marketing and use SEO or similar tools to enhance visibility and drive traffic. You are knowledgeable about understanding customer relationship management (CRM) software, using it to nurture leads, personalize interactions, and cultivate relationships. Social media marketing software should be another one of your allies in this ever-evolving landscape, as you harness its capabilities to analyze data, track metrics, and optimize strategies for maximum impact.

Do you have…
- A Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or English.
- Experience in writing, content development, and public relations in a similar role.
- Six (6) months of experience in website management.
- Proficiency in operating all major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
A Plus…
- Ability to effectively manage multiple, concurrent projects with competing deadlines, with over 2 years of experience demonstrating this capability.
- Over one (1) year experience with videography techniques and processes.
- Experience with Public Relations software programs such as Meltwater or Cision.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Adobe Suite.
- Familiarity with Final Cut Pro software for video editing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to transport, lift or move items up to 20 pounds without difficulty for short distances.
- Ability to work outdoors and indoors under all environmental conditions and temperatures.
- Ability to consistently speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation, public speaking, and general communication with public audiences.
- Ability to access the organization on foot and/or operate a motorized cart.
- Exceptional visual acuity required, along with the ability to communicate, comprehend and decipher information accurately, using a two-way radio.
- Manual dexterity for standing, reaching, flexibility, and body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling, stoop, bend, lift, kneel, crawl, climb, jump, dig and prolonged standing/sitting.
- Visual and auditory acuity appropriate for animal care, safety and to discern differences for computer screens, documents and/or labels.
- Auditory acuity for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, two-way radio, and face-to-face interactions.
