CNC Milling 5 Axis Setup Operator Machinist

Position: CNC Milling 5 Axis Machinist Setup and Operator

We are a long established and strong growing family owned manufacturer of precision machined parts locate in the northern Anaheim area. We are seeking an experienced 5 Axis CNC Mill Machinist to operate and Setup CNC Mills. The parts we manufactured are close tolerance, made from aircraft allows and are sold to the Aerospace and Defense industry. This is a full time permanent position, and we have openings both our morning first shift, and early 2nd shift weekdays at our Anaheim facility. We work four tens.

Duties include:
Interpret mechanical parts blueprints, and work instructions to setup CNC mills.
Consult with the CNc Programming team to determine parts machining plan
Setup and adjust CNC 3,4 5 axis mills. Vertical and Horizontal mills and 5 axis.
Modify offsets, modify G code using FANUC and Siemens controls
Setup machine, Load and run parts, change cutting tools, make offsets and adjustments.
For second night shift both setup and operate 5 axis mills and supervise the night crew.
Assist the management team completing any other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of experience as a Mill machinist.
3-4 5 axis axis experience required.
Functional communication skills In English required.
Must be able to read english written work instructions.
Setup fixtures, load program, setup and validate parts. And run production.
Ability to make offset adjustments, replace cutting tools.
Mori DMG DMU 5 Axis and Siemens Controls experience is highly desired
Perform G-Code programming and modifications.
Supervise and mentor machine operators. Disburse work, gather tooling, report shop status in daily production meetings.
Organize and maintain shop tooling and accountability.

Experience machining aircraft grade alloys and heat treated materials.
5 Axis vertical and Horizontal Milling experience is desired as well as 4 milling machining.
Mori Seiki, Mazak Fanuc or Siemens controls experience is desired.
We have an on site mastercam programmer.
Must be a US citizen or green card holder, for US Govt defense ITAR contract compliance.

Applicant must possess the ability to lift 35lbs. and have the ability to stand at a machine for up to 10 hours per day. Applicant must be able to work in a noisy environment.

Able to pass pre-employment physical screening

Must have a mechanical aptitude and prior machine shop experience is preferred.

Benefits:

Full time position in a Clean air conditioned shop

Monday thru Thursday, currently working fourTens, with possibility to work some OT on Fridays but not guaranteed.

Availiable shifts include morning/days as well as early evening second shift.
