Jacobs Entertainment is currently in search of a “Manager on Duty” for Gold Dust West Reno. The GDW Reno is located in the central downtown gaming district and has been a local’s favorite since 1977. It features the latest and hottest slot machines, full-service bars, and the ever-popular Grille restaurant.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Observes casino employees during the performance of their duties to ensure a high level of competency, and performance
- Inform the General Manager and department managers of all property activities and personnel issues on a daily basis through various modes of communication. (shift logs, e-mail, voicemail)
- Actively monitor all GDW Reno operations for proper customer service and employee activities
- Communicate and interact with employees and guests in all areas of property operation
- Monitor property interior and exterior for cleanliness, and safety concerns that affect our guests and employees
- Assist in retaining, rewarding, training, and advancing personnel
- Monitor and instruct employees and enforce the adherence of all minimum internal controls and Gaming Regulations
- Develops and recommends changes to Policies and Procedures when necessary and follows through with the application of them
- Assist department managers and supervisors when needed with their daily activities; act as a “final decision maker” if needed when department management is not present
- Work with all departments when situations require elevated customer service
Skills, Education and Other Requirements
- Must be literate and fluent in English
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community
- Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board Required
- Performs additional assignments and duties not covered to ensure the continuation of casino operations
