Spectacular inside and out, Windows on the River prepares and presents gourmet cuisine in a dramatic yet comfortable setting with dazzling views of Cleveland’s unique signature bridges and sparkling skyline. Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in preparing ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Help chefs with assembling dishes and plating.
- Prep and cook hors d’oeuvres for high volume establishment
- Responsible for the preparation and plating of all salads and desserts
- Responsible for preparation of all cold sauces, dressings, and all cold presentations in the operation, including cheese and vegetable crudites.
- Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies and inventory regularly.
- Monitor expiration dates and quality of food items, reporting any issues to kitchen management
- Assist in the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas, including sweeping and mopping floors.
- Report any damaged or broken equipment to the Kitchen Manager.
- Act as a liaison between three kitchens for Sous Chefs and Executive Chef.
- Follow all food safety procedures and guidelines.
Skills, Education and Other Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen action station is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to Stand for up to 8hrs during shift
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 70lbs
