What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Operations Manager (TDT) position at Jacobs?
The successful candidate will join the Facility Operations team to support the Center Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering Contract (CMOE) located at NASA Langley Research Center. This position reports directly to the Test Operations Branch Manager. All work will be performed with a high standard of quality and professionalism. All safety policies and procedures must be followed.
Responsibilities :
- Leads, supervises, and directs teams of engineers and technicians responsible for planning, executing, and closing out wind tunnel test programs in NASA Langley Research Center’s Transonic Dynamics Tunnel (TDT).
- Establishes test timelines, manages all test-related resources, and evaluates deliverables for quality and completeness.
- Duties also include identifying and implementing process improvements; determining and coordinating required facility upgrades, repairs, and maintenance; and producing / delivering technical papers and presentations when warranted.
- Develops and implements training programs for new and existing personnel.
- Works with peers across the organization to optimize workforce development and ensure continuity of operations.
- Reviews and modifies standard operating procedures, work instructions, checklists, etc.
- Establishes and maintains large cross-functional network of resources to assist in providing high-quality solutions for client.
- Will interface with subordinates, peers, senior management, and client personnel at all levels as needed.
