Senior Accountant

JACS Solutions is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role involves overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of financial concepts, the ability to analyze complex financial data, and expertise with the Intuit QuickBooks platform.

Responsibilities

• Ensure business transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Prepares monthly and quarterly reporting and analyses for the treasurer, controller, and others.
• Preparations of general ledger journal entries, fixed asset tracking, other monthly balance sheet schedules.
• Manage and process payroll entries and company subsidiary transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
• Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes
• Research and analyze expense variances for company management
• Prepares customers purchase orders, estimates, and invoices.
• Communicates with customers on invoicing and payment details.
• Prepare key reports for the Controller and leadership team to make more informed and proactive decisions around revenue growth, ROI, investment analysis, and key decisions.
• Processes vendor bills and payments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 5 years' of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
• Expertise with Intuit QuickBooks platform highly desired.
• Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Experience with budgeting processes and forecasting methodologies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
