Job Title: Production Operations Lead
This position is responsible for the leadership and supervision of production operations, maintenance, and regulatory responsibilities of the daily operation, optimization and maintenance of assigned oil and gas processing equipment.
The successful candidate will be a forward thinker and challenge status quos and be aligned with jade owls' growth vision. They must be self-motivated and passionate to perform job duties with little supervision. The candidate is also required to have strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Previous leadership experience is a requirement for this opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures safety of personnel, well control integrity, and operation reliability.
- Responsible for delivering production & cost targets for the assets.
- Manages cost control and analyzes Lease Operating Statement (LOS) for improvements.
- Identify highest value adds and direct a plan for staff to add rate, reduce costs, and plan ahead to reduce risk and exposure of our assets.
- Drive accountability of production rate and ensure proper data is recorded for production, regulations, and maintenance records.
- Manage and organize maintenance schedule to reduce downtime and cost.
- Identifies, plans, and supervises the implementation of automation & I&E activities.
- Sets high expectations and elevated, but realistic, goals to increase cash flows.
- Work closely with VP of Subsurface & Ops to negotiate contracts and act upon ideas to increase efficiency of operations.
- Review operator data for accurate and timely production reports (daily volumes, pressures, and equipment performance).
- Able to perform other duties, including coverage for field staff and training of entry level Operators. Have an ability to perform routine maintenance tasks, including equipment checks, lubrication, and repairs. Troubleshoot problems individually and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Follow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with company policies, Safety & Regulatory requirements. Encourage Near Miss Reporting, LOTO and SOP procedures.
- Conducts inspections and acts as liaison as required to ensure compliance with WOGCC, WOSLI, BLM, OSHA, and Wyoming DEQ.
- Participates in route reviews to share knowledge of wells and facilities with operations staff and engineering.
- Built positive public image through daily landowner interaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum: High School Diploma
- Previous leadership experience required.
- A minimum of 10 years' related oil/gas experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Well-work experience is preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Work locations are within a 2-hour drive of Gillette, Wyoming.
- Exposure to hazardous facilities including moving equipment and H2S environments.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Job requires working alone for 50% of time.
Compensation Package:
- Base Pay Range: $130,000 - $175,000
- Annual Bonus Pay Range: $10,000 - $50,000
- Restricted Stock Units: TBD
- Pays is salary.
- Bonus is provided based upon base pay.
- Future pay growth is based on value added, not years of experience.
