Switchgear Assembly Technician

Job Summary

Schedule: Mon-Thu (2:00pm-12:30am)
We are seeking an assembly technician who will be responsible for working as part of a team to assemble switchgear.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read, review and identify issues on blueprints and wiring schematics
• Assemble job, according to job specifications
• Use power and hand tools to cut, strip and crimp wire
• Use power tools to cut and fabricate sheet metal and conduit
• Collaborate with team members to ensure job completion
• Follow all safety procedures including proper use of PPE when required
• Ensure production area is clean and organized
• Other duties assigned by management

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong technical skills
• OSHA 10 hour course preferred, not required
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail

Working Conditions:

• Bending, kneeling, crouching
• Working in confined spaces
• Loud noises
• Ability to team lift up to 100 lbs.
• Working with ladders up to height of 12 feet

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
