Gift Shop Manager
The Texas State Railroad is looking for a strong candidate for the position of Gift Shop Manager. This position requires opening and closing the gift shop at 2 locations according to the train schedule. Making sure the Gift Shop is always stocked and cleaned. Ordering merchandise when items are low. Maintain a high standard in customer service. The Gift Shop Manager will work under the supervision of the Assistant General Manager.
Primary Duties
Ensure that both Gift Shops are always stocked and clean
Maintains the inventory of both Gift Shops
Ordering inventory for both Gift Shops when needed
Be able to work with the POS system in place
Maintain a high standard in customer service
Work with Assistant General Manager with ideas for new merchandise
Position Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be available to work nights, weekends, early morning and some holidays
Must posses a professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills
Ability to come to work on time when schedule with neatly groomed appearance
Ability to lift to 40 lbs.
Must be able to count correct change and handle money responsibly
