CBX Hobby was born on Youtube and continues to grow it's roots in content creation and engaging media marketing to continue its growth forward into national markets.
This job is a full time position that splits between content creation and retail associate responsibilities
Requirements:
Previous experience or education in content creation.
A love for the source material in comics, card games, video games, pop culture and much more.
I am hoping to find either current or recent grads from Angelina College's film program.
A natural and unique comedic and entertaining stylization.
Meticulous attention to detail is very important when working around this quantity of cards and comics and merchandise. We have hundreds of thousands of cards sorted and inventoried that require strong attention to detail to maintain in proper order. This aspect will be half of your work load.
20hrs a week will be retail associate work.
20hrs a week will be for content creation with two days of remote work opportunity if you possess the require equipment for at home video editing and clipping.
Day to day work in retail includes helping customers check out, filling card orders and being familiar with our card sorting system and aiding in the packaging and shipping of online orders
Day to day work in content creation side will consist of writing, filming, editing and clipping a weekly long form youtube video and daily clips for all relevant social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc).
In simpler terms, I am looking for someone to collaborate with on our content creation. This shop started as a youtube channel with my children for pack openings and pokemon news and has grown into so much more. The day to day management of the business has made content creation come second to many other duties. I need someone who is engaging, fun, creative, self motivated and driven to assist with the research and writing of the weekly videos. This includes news in all areas of the Nerdverse. Magic the gathering, pokemon, yugioh, marvel, dc and an understand of all new releases and promotions to create fun engaging content. Our videos will all be scripted in either face to face teleprompt news segments and also with scripted fictionalized humorous sketches related to the shop and the relevant hobbies. This position offers a very flexible creative avenue for someone to show off their own skills and build a portfolio of their own. As we grow we want to build a team that can grow with us.

Pay: $10.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
