What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Ambulatory Care Representative position at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center?
The Department of Dental Medicine at Jamaica Hospital has been providing valuable services to the community since it was established in 1972, and has grown to meet the community’s increasing needs.
Our Dental Medicine team consists of over 30 voluntary attendings, three hygienists, 14 residents and a large support staff, which includes are invaluable Ambulatory Care Representative team. Currently we have a full-time employment opportunity for an Ambulatory Care Representative to join our team.
General Tasks & Responsibilities include:
⦁ First point of contact for patients seeking care in our facility.
⦁ Expediting patient registration check-in and check-out process.
⦁ Utilizing EPIC electronic appointment system to schedule appointments, and review insurance/verification and appointment history.
⦁ Collecting payments and dispersing carfare and serves as the clinic liaison.
⦁ Answering phones and addressing patient/caller inquiries.
Minimum Qualifications:
⦁ High School Diploma required. Associates degree preferred.
⦁ Previous Dental office, dental assistant or dental registrar experience required.
⦁ Technically savvy / computer literacy required
⦁ Dental Medical terminology required.
⦁ Excellent customer service skills.
Bilingual SPANISH speaking Preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.40 per hour
