What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Access Representative -E/R Nursing position at Jamaica Hospital?
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center currently has full-time opportunities for Patient Access Representative (certified medical assistant) for our E/R Nursing Department. Jamaica Hospital operates a network of community based clinics known as MediSys Family Care Centers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review daily clinical schedule and be able to anticipate appropriately
Prepare patient charts prior to their visit
Ensure excellent patient care and patient service is provided at all times
Triaging patients
Document clinical notes appropriately, accurately and timely in our EPIC system.
Assist in checking in and out patients, when necessary
Assist the physicians during exams
Clean up, set up, and prepare equipment and supplies for use
Maintains logs with accurate documentation
Follow up with insurance companies for authorizations and referrals
Provides coverage, when necessary
