We are looking for a Plastic Welder to join our team in Loveland, CO. JFT will accept resumes until 3 / 31 / 25.
Function : The Plastic Welder performs work throughout all aspects of a plastic welding, fabrication and assembly shop.
Core Duties & Responsibilities :
- Read and interpret spec drawings and blueprints, schematic diagrams, and internal orders to determine appropriate set-up, production method, and sequence of operation.
- Use a non-contact butt fusion welding technique to create parts.
- Precision hand-welding to assemble parts and completed pieces.
- Follow prepared plans to ensure assembly is completed efficiently and without error.
- Follow instructions to ensure proper setup of machines and parts required.
- Escalate concerns relating to product quality, safety, or process issues to lead or supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Perform other fabrication and assembly tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience :
Physical Requirements :
Strength and Stamina : The job may involve lifting and moving parts or materials, typically up to 50lbs. The ability to stand for long periods (8 hours) is required.
Manual Dexterity : Precise hand movements are necessary for handling tools, operating equipment and operating a computer.
Visual Acuit y : Good eyesight, including close vision and depth perception, is important for detailed work and inspecting finished parts.
Mobility : Frequent bending, stooping, and crouching is required, along with the ability to maneuver around machinery and equipment.
Coordination : The role requires good hand-eye coordination to operate equipment safely and effectively.
Communication : Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with team members, customers and vendors.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS : Machine and fabrication shop environment around equipment such as water jet tables, lathes, milling machines and press brakes. Welding operations are often taking place nearby. This job requires adherence to strict safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). JFT has implemented a 9 / 80 work schedule, and the office is closed every other Friday.
