Job Summary:
The Client Relationship Executive will exercise independent judgment and discretion to perform the essential duties of this position which includes assisting the Agents in servicing a book of business and performing work directly related to the general business operations of the agency.
Essential Functions:
- Actively support and incorporate company mission and core values into daily work activities
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude with agency clients, potential clients, and other professional third-party contacts
- Work as a team member to achieve department goals and overall company goals
- Demonstrate positive customer service skills with effective communication, respect and integrity
- Maintain confidentiality of all information related to clients, customers, carriers or, as appropriate, other confidential business information
- Consistently report to work on time prepared to perform duties of position
- Demonstrate leadership skills and continually lead by example
- Perform office work directly related to the general business operations of the agency which includes exercising discretion and independent judgment with respect to managing client accounts
- Independently contact small, medium, and large-size accounts for renewals and upselling policies
- Recommend appropriate coverages and binding of sales where required
- Works independently as well as with account, agency and corporate staff to rehabilitate accounts with poor claims experience
- Uses own strategies to plan travel schedule to visit with customers considering factors such as location, amount of annual premium, requests from underwriting, proximity to other accounts, etc.
- Builds relational ties with customers
- Lead appointment setting efforts on behalf of the Agents including cold calling potential clients in some circumstances
- Participate in special projects such as seminars
- Handle in-bound telephone calls of all types
- Perform functions on agency management system proficiently and assist others
- Take calls from clients requesting changes, process change requests and report to the insurance carrier
- Initiate or respond to questions pertaining to invoicing and billing
- Review renewal policies for accuracy
- Lead efforts to assist clients in the claims process and support where required
- Create APEX drawing documentation for remittance and support of Agent
- Complete Site Visits with documentation of existing risk issues
- Provide support for Agent/Client Relationship Executive client renewal meetings
- Works independently as well as with the other Customer Service staff and Agents to do routine service and make policy change requests on all accounts
- Properly handle any generated documents from the insurance carrier or requests within delegated authority
- Participate in continuing education courses to maintain all valid insurance licenses
- Conform to all agency policies, procedures, and guidelines including appropriate documentation retention for E&O prevention
- Position Requirements:
- Possess a supportive and responsive manner with customers
- Possess high school diploma or equivalent
- Hold a property/casualty Producer’s license
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in complex working environment accurately and efficiently
- Valid driver’s license with no more than 1 minor violation in the past 3 years
- Possess above average computer knowledge and skills
- Make decisions independently using knowledge and experience
- Writing a business letter
- Building relationships with clients, including negotiating with customers, handling complaints, and handling difficult clients
- Giving and taking criticism
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening, ability to guide client conversations, and effective questioning
