JOB SUMMARY
This entry level position supports and assists the registrars for all JI schools as part of the Student Support Services Department.
Summary of duties - Front line of communication with potential parents, current parents, JI school staff and other schools via phone, email and in-person; greet people as they arrive; maintenance of student application folders during enrollment season; records requests; data entry; filing
Essential Functions
- Provide excellent customer service including answering telephones/emails providing accurate information in a professional manner to persons requesting information;
- Greet and assist visitors entering the office in a welcoming and professional manner;
- Maintain communications with waitlist families including invites to events;
- Set up, file and store a variety of documents including sensitive and confidential information; scrub and archive student records;
- Process requests from students, parents, other districts, colleges/universities, etc. for the purpose of providing required information according to FERPA laws;
- Perform enrollment and withdrawal activities in Infinite Campus and prepare and maintain permanent student record and cumulative folders for all students ensuring compliance with legal, state and federal requirements;
- Send/receive records requests and follow up with schools/parents;
- Assist parents with online registration;
- Create and maintain applicant folders through enrollment/registration process;
- Data entry in Student Information System and other databases as needed ensuring accuracy of the data;
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Abilities

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite;
