This position is in Mundelein, IL and is a full-time, on-site position where you will step into a support role for the Project Management Sales team and collaborate as part of our Design Build Team to take our clients’ desires from ideas all the way to finished landscapes. Work alongside a passionate team of Designers, Project Managers, and Construction Associates to design and build the ideal outdoor living spaces and landscapes for our clients within their budget and to meet our annual sales goals. Qualifications:
- 2-3 years’ experience in support of Residential Landscape Design, Estimating and Sales.
- Degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture or Landscape Construction Management preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, 3D Rendering Software (Sketchup, Lumion or other) required.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office preferred.
- Ability to read and create construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of Estimating Software (Aspire preferred).
- Knowledge of local plants and construction materials.
- Knowledge of landscape construction process and management
- Ability to perform and thrive in a team environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills – bilingual a plus.
- Effective problem-solving skills and highly organized with time management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Support Project Managers with on-site layout of design and site supervision.
- Support Project Managers and Production Team and Clients as needed to ensure projects meet expectations and crews are producing the work within allotted hours and material costs.
- Assist the Design Build team as needed with basemaps, surveys, CAD input and revisions, and 3D drawings.
- Develop project budgets and final construction proposals using Microsoft Excel and Aspire Software functions for estimating, proposal writing, data entry, basic reports and contract management.
- Support the Design team and Project Managers with permit applications and material selections
- Support the sales process from start to finish – ensuring timely completion of required steps to develop and propose designs, budgets, and construction proposals.
- Review and high-level communication with the Design Build team, one on one and in scheduled team meetings with written communication and Outlook time management.
- Provide a high level of communication with Project Managers and Production Team including regular design updates, project progression, discussion and processing of change orders, and final review of the completed work with Project Managers.
- Represent the Design Build team and company on project sites and at meetings in a professional manner.
Compensation:
A base salary, with potential for a year-end bonus subject to individual performance and company-wide profitability. Annual compensation range for this position is 60,000-75,000 per year
