Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Banquet Server to join our team. As a Banquet Server, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our events by providing exceptional service to our guests. Your main responsibility will be to serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and efficient manner. Duties:
- Set up banquet tables and ensure they are properly arranged according to event specifications
- Greet guests and assist with seating arrangements
- Take food and drink orders from guests and deliver them accurately and promptly
- Serve plated meals or buffet-style service, ensuring all guests are served in a timely manner
- Clear tables and clean up after events, ensuring the banquet area is tidy and presentable at all times
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including moving furniture, setting up audiovisual equipment, etc.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any guest concerns or special requests
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth coordination of food service
Skills:
- Previous experience in the hotel or restaurant industry is preferred
- Knowledge of culinary terms and practices is a plus
- Strong guest services skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
