Job Responsibilities:

• 1099 Reporting: Prepare, review, and file 1099 forms to ensure compliance with IRS regulations. Maintain accurate records and respond promptly to any discrepancies or inquiries.
• Business Licenses: Manage the application, renewal, and maintenance of business licenses across various jurisdictions. Ensure all licenses are up-to-date and compliant with local laws.
• Personal Property and Sales Tax Returns: Prepare and file personal property tax and sales tax returns. Verify all assets and transactions are accounted for and accurately reported.
• Compliance Monitoring: Stay informed about changes in compliance regulations and ensure the company adheres to all relevant legal requirements.
• Documentation: Maintain thorough and organized documentation of all filings and correspondence. Ensure records are easily accessible for audits and internal reviews.
• Communication: Liaise with internal departments, external agencies, and stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify compliance-related matters.
• Process Management: Assist in developing and refining internal processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Analysis: Research, resolve, and manage issues with minimal supervision.
• Other: Participate in other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance filing, accounting, or a similar role. Prior experience with 1099 reporting, business licenses, and personal property returns is highly preferred.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently. Strong prioritization and time management skills.
• Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in reviewing and preparing compliance documents. Keen eye for identifying discrepancies and errors.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills. Capable of analyzing data and making informed decisions.
• Ethics: High level of integrity and ethical standards. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
• Pre-employment: Ability to pass a drug-screen test
