Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares and teaches assigned courses;
- Evaluates student progress and provides academic advising;
- Maintains necessary records and submits institutional reports in a timely manner;
- Assists in departmental and institutional planning;
- Serves on college committees;
- Performs other job-related duties.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Technology or related field, and/or equivalent experience;
- Knowledge of DC/AC theory, residential, commercial and industrial wiring, digital electronics, programmable logic controllers, industrial motor controls, National Electric Code and renewable energy;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Proficiency with computer software;
- Able to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment;
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Works in indoor conditions with moderate noise level;
- May require local travel;
- Regularly sits, uses hands and arms, and talks or hears;
- Frequently stands and walks;
- Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds.
