Job Duties
To extend the educational mission of the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation through the sale of related merchandise in the Foundation’s multi-channel retail stores; to enhance the visitor experience by delivering outstanding customer service, quality foodservice and other amenities; and to produce net revenue in support of museum programs by managing toward return on investment goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of retail practices, store operations and procedures.
Experience in managing, training, and coaching retail sales associates.
Skilled in the operation of networked POS systems.
Intermediate skill level with computer office software such as Microsoft Office.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and guests; to train and motivate staff; to exemplify best customer service practices; and maintain composure in high stress situations.
Additional Considerations
High school diploma and/or higher education particularly with a major in retail management and merchandising helpful.
Similar supervisory and merchandising experience in high volume retail environment.
