Jamestown is recruiting for a Building Engineer for a mixed-use property in Buckhead.
The Building Engineer is responsible for performing assigned maintenance and repairs that maximize the effectiveness of the property’s operation and the proper functioning of its systems and equipment. The duties requires adherence to company policies, established safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
The successful Building Engineer is consistently thorough, exacting, committed to keeping systems and equipment in good order, and supporting other members of the property team.
Minimum Qualifications Required
Education and Experience:
Ladders, lifts, hand tools, multi-meter amp probe, anemometer (airflow meter and hood), pressure gauges, drain auger, safety goggles, ear protection, and fire extinguisher.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Knowledge of building and equipment maintenance and repair methods, including AC circuits and safety procedures, the refrigeration cycle, plumbing systems, and life safety systems.

Minimum Qualifications Required
Education and Experience:
- At least one year’s experience in the building maintenance industry, or a combination of education, training, and experience that provides the attributes necessary to successfully perform the Building Engineer job. Equivalent union training and certification is also acceptable.
- A degree from an accredited trade school in HVAC, electronics, or other industry-related trade is advantageous. Completion of trade-related technical training in the US Armed Forces is equivalent to a trade school degree.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and building repairs.
- Inspect and test equipment.
- May be required to work weekends and participate in rotating shifts
- Execute preventive maintenance program to keep systems and equipment in good repair and prolong their useful life.
- Maintain outstanding property appearance.
- Resolve unscheduled maintenance calls for plumbing, equipment malfunction, HVAC comfort, electrical and lighting, and other minor repairs.
- Respond to emergency calls after hours as directed.
- Perform and record inspections of the property and systems.
- Fulfill other job-related duties as assigned.
