Join us as a Facilities Specialist and take the lead in maintaining the exterior of our buildings and properties. Under the direction of the Facilities Director, you’ll be responsible for protecting the agency’s assets, extending the life of external structures, and ensuring cost control and efficiency. This role focuses on performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction tasks related to building exteriors, including groundskeeping, structural upkeep, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You’ll also assist the Facilities Director with assigned projects, ensuring our properties are safe, functional, and visually appealing.
Pay rates offered are determined based on a standardized scale that considers relevant experience and education.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician or collective related experience
- Experience in dealing with appliance repair, electricity, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and use of common tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in dealing with basic car mechanics
All JAMHI positions require the ability to pass a criminal background check in accordance with the current state regulation requirements and a valid Alaska driver’s license and be able to clear the JAMHI auto insurance screening through the independent insurance carrier if driving.
