Day Manager

Job Description

We have been providing commercial janitorial services throughout NE Ohio for over 20 years. We are currently seeking an experienced, dedicated, Area Manager with solid people and customer service skills for our Akron and Cleveland territory. We are looking for a take charge team leader with high performance standards who leads by example on a daily basis.

Job Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, teach, train and develop a strong team of Supervisors and Cleaning Associates
• Provide the daily support and leadership to your team so that all can reach their full potential
• Complete personnel evaluations, write-ups and terminations where necessary
• Conduct ongoing facility inspections to identify areas of opportunity and train staff
• Consistently build strong relationships with your customers through immediate problem resolution
• Oversee daily attendance, schedule floater or other employees to cover for absences
• Manage your labor and supply costs to budget
• Visit all assigned facilities on a regular basis
• Ensure that company service levels and performance expectations are met/exceeded in all accounts

Job Qualifications

• 2 years of previous multi-unit management experience in a service related industry
• Solid decision making skills and proactive follow-up to meet project/task deadlines
• Possess basic computer skills, in addition to strong written and verbal skills
• Must be able to drive between multiple facilities each day
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs., stoop, kneel and bend down
• Be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, positive attitude and a deep desire to succeed
• Previous Commercial Janitorial experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to pass a thorough background check and drug screening prior to employment
