Food Sanitation Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to join our team in a food processing plant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards to ensure the safety and quality of our food products. This position requires adherence to FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) while working in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Hire, train, and supervise janitorial staff, including providing ongoing performance feedback and coaching.
• Assign cleaning tasks and manage work schedules to ensure adequate coverage throughout the facility.
• Monitor employee attendance and address any staffing shortages
• Inspect cleaning work to ensure quality standards are met, including checking for proper cleaning techniques and attention to detail.
• Address any cleaning concerns or issues promptly.
• Order, stock, and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Monitor usage of cleaning products and identify areas for cost optimization.
• Ensure staff adheres to all safety procedures and regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Conduct safety training sessions and address any safety concerns.
• Communicate with building management regarding cleaning needs, concerns, and special cleaning requests.

Skills

• Must have two year minimum experience in food sanitation.
• Must have two year minimum experience in janitorial supervision.
• Proven ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of cleaning staff.
• Understanding of proper cleaning techniques, procedures, and industry best practices.
• Ability to identify and resolve cleaning issues promptly.
• Must have valid drivers license
• Must be able to pass background check.
