Key Qualifications
- Communication and Reporting: Keep your immediate supervisor in the loop with updates on activities, results, and any potential issues. Your proactive recommendations for corrective actions will be highly valued.
- Admissions Coordination: Be the welcoming face that coordinates admissions appointments, ensuring a smooth start for new clients.
- Policy Compliance: Uphold our high standards by maintaining department policies and procedures in line with accreditation, licensing, and certification requirements.
- Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with area providers, state agencies, and our dedicated administrative staff to ensure seamless continuity of care and responsiveness to client needs.
- Client Orientation: Conduct engaging orientations for clients and their families, providing a comprehensive overview of our program guidelines and structure.
- Treatment Planning: Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans, including thoughtful discharge plans tailored to each client’s journey.
- Clinical Evaluation: Perform thorough evaluations and assessments, crafting and conducting personalized treatment plans that include care coordination, crisis stabilization, and medical appointment coordination.
- Documentation: Keep meticulous records of client treatment files and master the use of Electronic Health Records (EHR) for timely and accurate documentation.
- Crisis Management: Be the first to alert the Program Manager to potential crises or urgent situations, ensuring swift and effective responses.
- Client Supervision and Ancillary Services: Provide compassionate supervision, plan and schedule therapeutic activities, and facilitate enriching ancillary services such as family support groups, family education groups, and continuing care.
Pay & Benefits
At Janus, base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $27.50 and $33.00 per hour and your base pay will be considered on your job-related skills, training, qualifications, experience, and relevant education.

Requirements:Education:
- Associate degree in chemical dependency counseling, or a bachelor’s degree with coursework in chemical dependency.
- Master’s degree in counseling preferred.
Licensing:
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or similar.
Experience:
- Treatment of substance abuse disorders.
- Co-occurring health and mental health problems.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems like AVATAR.
- Application of SAMHSA’s best practice indicators.
- Drug and alcohol testing to monitor treatment plans and medical instructions.
Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature.
- Bilingual - Spanish strongly preferred.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in any of the following platforms is preferred: Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Apple iWork, or LibreOffice.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based and standalone office suite applications.
- Strong understanding of electronic health record (eHR) systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to office suites.
