The Medical Assistant should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate a highly optimized and specialized environment where priorities may shift daily while working autonomously, taking initiative, make recommendations on who is medically fit for a continued stay at the Residential Treatment Facility, call for emergency assistance / transportation for residents who show signs of distress and complete tasks you are responsible for. You will have a deep background in reporting standards and norms, compliance, strong written and verbal communication, and a deep understanding of the medical / detox landscape. You will also evaluate current detox and residential clients and monitor the clients for any potential medical problems that would preclude a safe stay at the facility and observe residents in the facility to monitor their health.

Key Qualifications

• Proficiency meeting aggressive timely completion of all documentations including, but not limited to, taking / recording vitals, Administers withdrawal assessments (CIWA & COWS) and records results in progress notes, etc...
• Passionate and self-motivated, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Experience working in a team-oriented environment demonstrating positive demeanor regardless of changing work conditions
• Meticulous attention to detail & strong ability to retain and contextualize SUD information / history
• Demonstrates an understanding of the pharmacology and physiological effects of alcohol and other commonly abused substances

Pay & Benefits

At Janus, base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $23.00 and $29.00 per hour and your base pay will be considered on your job-related skills, training, qualifications, experience, and relevant education.
