Sales Events Manager - Japan Inn
Position Summary: Japan Inn seeks a dynamic and driven Sales Events Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cultivating relationships, managing event inquiries, planning group dining experiences, and maximizing event sales opportunities to meet revenue targets. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in the TripleSeat event management system. Additionally, this position will support local social marketing efforts, help build our brand network, and assist in forming valuable community connections. The Sales Events Manager will support all three Japan Inn locations as well as Kimura.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly and professionally to event inquiries via phone, email, and TripleSeat.
- Proactively generate new business opportunities by building relationships with local businesses, hotels, concierges, and community organizations.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of group dining events, including menu selection, event timelines, special requests, and billing.
- Maintain accurate records of event details and client interactions in TripleSeat.
- Collaborate closely with General Managers, Culinary Team, and Operations staff to ensure seamless event execution.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Regularly review sales performance, identify opportunities, and develop strategies to achieve revenue goals.
- Represent Japan Inn professionally at networking and community events.
- Assist in local social marketing efforts and initiatives to promote events and brand awareness.
- Help build and expand Japan Inn's brand network through strategic outreach and partnerships.
- Support event sales and marketing efforts across all Japan Inn locations and Kimura.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales/event management within the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency and direct experience using TripleSeat software is required.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
- Strong sales abilities with a proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends and evenings based on event needs.
- High energy level, professional demeanor, and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in upscale or casual dining restaurants, hotels, or event venues.
- Existing network of contacts within the local hospitality or corporate community.
