Job Summary: The Post-production Utility Technician is a vital team member responsible for the efficient and accurate packaging of JAR Cannabis Co. medical cannabis products. This role involves fulfilling both in house retail store and wholesale orders within established daily and weekly deadlines. Quality is paramount, and the technician must have a meticulous approach, a solid understanding of quality control standards, and the ability to proactively identify issues that may arise during the post-production phase. This role is also responsible for helping with the cultivation of medical cannabis by following JAR Cannabis Co. SOPs
Key Responsibilities:
- Package products promptly according to specific order requirements and internal guidelines.
- Assist in producing pre-rolled products as needed (e.g., closing, Dutch crown, grinding).
- Trim and prepare cured cannabis as directed by management (e.g., burp totes).
- Support the Processing and/or Packaging Manager with assigned tasks.
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks (e.g., C-Vaults, sweeping, mopping, bathroom, and common areas).
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Keep light inventory lists (e.g., packaging materials and bathroom essentials).
- Assist with all scheduled harvests and take-downs.
- Collaborate with cultivation to perform tasks in the garden (e.g., leaf pulling, lollipopping, pot washing).
- Sort cured cannabis using post-production tools (e.g., sorting table).
- Identify and report any quality control issues or process inefficiencies to the processing manager.
- Contribute to a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
Requirements:
- Ability to safely work with fresh and dried cannabis flower.
- Ability to sit/stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work 10-hour shifts.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient time management and decision-making skills.
- Must obtain and carry a Registry Identification Card.
- Comply with all policies outlined in the JARco. handbook.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
