About Us: Jarvis Christian University is a historically Black institution affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). The mission of the University is to prepare students intellectually, socially, spiritually, and personally through interactive services and varied instructional delivery methods.
The Upward Bound program aims to prepare first-generation college-bound high school students for educational attainment and college readiness. As an Education Specialist, you will develop and teach assigned subjects to help students achieve their goals.
This part-time position requires a 8-month commitment to teaching in-person once a month on Saturday from September to April. You will work with students from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds, developing curriculum and implementing it within respected fields of study.
