Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist/ Recruiter
Location(s): Columbia, MD (Hybrid 2 days in the office after introductory period)
Hours: Full-Time (M-F/ 40 hrs. a week)
Salary: $80k/yr. - $90k/yr.

What you will be doing:
Provide full-life cycle recruiting in a fast pace, high volume, competitive environment, to include: sourcing, screening, qualifying, interviewing, and managing candidate relationships while advising hiring managers through the assessment and selection process. Create and implement a sustainable company talent acquisition strategy to ensure a healthy pipeline of viable candidates.
Essential Job Functions:
- Handles full lifecycle recruiting for assigned searches beginning with a kick-off meeting with the hiring Program Managers to discuss process and strategic approach.
- Executes agreed upon recruiting strategies and actively sources candidates.
- Evaluates the resumes of prospective candidates and determines degree of skill match; recommends or declines appropriately and forwards qualified candidate resumes to the hiring manager for review.
- Tracks candidate activity from initial resume submittal to hire in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensures timely updates are input and shared with managers.
- Conducts initial employment screening interviews by e-mail, phone, MS Teams, or face-to-face.
- Coordinates all interview logistics and interfaces with candidates effectively during the recruiting and evaluation process.
- Responsible for the completion of program resume templates to ensure a successful submittal in a timely manner. Validates all minimum requirements are met to include: years of experience, education and active certifications.
- Coordinates receiving and evaluating of interview feedback and advises hiring manager in the final selection process.
- Collaborates with the Portfolio and Program Manager, Human Resources, and Contracts in making salary offers.
- Checks references, verifies educational credentials, and coordinates background investigation of selected candidate; negotiates and makes verbal and written offers of employment.
- Manages the on-boarding process of each new hire recruited and coordinates the scheduling of orientation and other on-boarding meetings.
- Leads weekly recruiting activity meetings with all Portfolio and Program Managers.
- Prepares weekly reports to monitor recruitment activity, tracks vacant positions, recruiting strategies/sources, and costs.
- Continually networks and builds contacts in key functional areas to assist in future recruitment activities.
Position Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Experience
- Minimum of (2) years of professional recruiting experience (*)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required, including familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Must have solid knowledge of and skill in behavioral and/or competency-based interviewing techniques.
- Proven success in hiring top quality candidates in a fast-paced environment.
- Considerable knowledge and understanding of employment laws and regulations, recruiting sources and strategies, and on-boarding programs.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
Preferred Requirements:
- SPHR/PHR certification a plus.
- Experience working in both corporate and agency environments preferred.
- Government Contract recruiting experience strong preferred. Experience staffing as both a Prime and Subcontractor.
Physical Demands:
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to move files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
