Jasko Development, LLC. is expanding its team!
We are looking to hire an experienced Human Resources Specialist to take charge of all HR functions on behalf of the company. This person will work closely with management to oversee and execute all HR duties and processes. The Human Resources specialist will also launch and manage various HR programs such as Performance Management tools and Anti-Harassment training.
Our preferred candidate should have related HR experience either as an HR Generalist, HRBP or HR Manager at a Real Estate Development, Construction, or Property Management company. The ideal candidate should be extremely comfortable in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines and be a self-starter. Efficiency is critical.
Core Responsibilities:
- Create properly written and compliant job ads and job descriptions.
- Source, screen, interview, and refer candidates for further review.
- Negotiate and present offers of employment in the company’s best interest.
- Process all new hire paperwork in accordance with standard hiring practices and in compliance with state/federal guidelines.
- Manage new employee benefits enrollments.
- Develop and manage a full scope Performance Management program.
- Create a schedule of assessments and feedback for direction, trajectory, and growth of employees.
- Create reports and communicate with upper management regarding findings for follow-up and next steps.
- Manage all Benefits Administration, plan renewals and open enrollment events.
- Track and manage all PTO.
- Conduct employee file audit to ensure all documents are in order and in compliance.
- Conduct general HR audit, not limited to Workplace Posters, general reporting both state/federal, equity, safety/OSHA compliance.
- Provide state approved sexual harassment training and policy dissemination to all employees.
- Provide all new hires with approved anti-harassment training and policy material.
- Review all Handbook policies, conduct edits and policy improvements/formulation in accordance with management approval.
- Maintain general upkeep of Employee Handbook in accordance with state, federal and company updates.
- Collaborate with Jasko Team and Jasko’s legal advisors to handle and close any open Workers Comp or Unemployment claims.
- Handle, file and track all requests for extended leave, i.e. PTO, FMLA, PFMLA, Jury Duty Leave, etc.
- Verify all notices & compliance have been met prior to termination.
- Disenroll Medical and related benefits.
- Process COBRA submissions.
- 401(k) closeout/transition.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of related HR experience either as an HR Generalist, HRBP or HR Manager.
- Strong background in recruiting, with proven methods of sourcing and vetting for high quality candidates.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal HR laws and compliance.
- Ability to advise leadership on best HR practices and deliver HR solutions and sound situational guidance.
- Ability to take charge of company programs and operate independently.
- Comfortable liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong computer and tech-savvy skills; Knowledge of all basic Microsoft Office programs; comfortable regularly communicating through Teams/Zoom.
