GENERAL SUMMARY
Under limited supervision, responsible for providing daily administrative assistance and support to the Human Resources Department. Coordinates and assists with specific functions of the Department. Works with highly confidential records and files. Reports to the Director of Human Resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned.)
Assists the Director of Human Resources by performing a variety of specialized and administrative duties, which include but are not limited to composing correspondence, preparing reports, researching and compiling data, scheduling meetings and appointments, maintaining calendars, preparing meeting materials, responding to state and federal reports as directed, establishing and maintaining filing systems, etc.
Human Resources Specialist
- Assists Human Resources Director with initial unemployment claims
- Coordinates and manages recruiting software (Frontline) with accuracy and timeliness.
- Responsible for the full the process of onboarding and offboarding
- Assists HR Director in mailing out offer letters, and other pertinent letters.
- Assist with new hire orientations
- Responsible for input of all new employees, all transfers, and terminated employees, in iVisions, accurately and timely.
- Conduct background checks on new employees
- Enroll all new employees in time management system and delete terminated employees out of all management systems.
- Responsible for entry of all new employees and terminated employees to enable the start of Finance and I.T. processing.
- Responsible for assisting the Coordinator of Teacher Effectiveness and Recruiting as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the Coordinator of Benefits.
- Work closely with the Payroll Clerk.
- Responsible for purchasing for department.
- Sort mail for department.
- Maintains personnel files and human resource records and compiles reports as needed
- Assist with preparing materials needed for department
- Assist team in fostering positive employee relations
- Maintains HR webpage
- Disseminate and compile surveys and questionnaires
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
