Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Dietary Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Food Service Department. This includes providing quality food service at all times and ensuring operations are run in a professional, safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities include:
Ensure adequate staffing for the department.
Complete schedules and work assignments for dietary staff.
Place food orders and maintain food/supply inventory.
Train and monitor dietary staff.
Monitor food preparation, storage, sanitation and meal service.
Visit with residents to determine food preferences.
Update and print tray cards.
Complete administrative requirements such as temperature logs, and completion of forms/reports.
Education/Work Experience Requirements:
Certified Dietary Manager (Required)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer proficiency
Ability to work independently and to carry out departmental assignments
