Maintenance - Project Coordinator
Join JASPER’s Maintenance Team as a Project Coordinator! In this role, you will support our jn-house maintenance staff, providing assistance to the maintenance supervisor and technicians. Tasks include, but not limited to managing work orders, communicating with various departments regarding maintenance work needed, handling purchasing of supplies and materials, and working with outside vendors. You will serve as the point person for repair problems within our Headquarters facility. You will track and schedule preventative maintenance tasks, while serving as a checkpoint for quality and compliance. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate excellent organizational skills and be able to think on your feet and constantly looking for ways to innovate current methods and practices. Also, be able to adapt to changing priorities.
*This position requires some flexibility in start time and work hours, due to communication with the 3rd shift project team.
Key Responsibilities:
Delegate maintenance tasks to the rest of the team and find relevant vendors and service providers.
Ensure quality control standards are consistently met.
Purchase any equipment, tools, or materials that may be required.
Update maintenance logs for machinery.
Establish protocols for non-mechanical maintenance.
Ensure basic tools and machinery are in working order by performing regular inspections.
Assess procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
Other projects, as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Courses in mechanical drawing, woodworking, electricity, and blueprint reading, would be advantageous.
Repair work experience.
Proactive thinking.
High level of detail and follow-through.
Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
Leadership experience helpful.
Proficiency in Microsoft Tools – Outlook, Word, Excel; Basic CAD skills; basic knowledge electrical schematics and PLC Ladder
The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs.
