What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Pipe Designer position at Jasper Ventures, Inc.?
General Summary of the Position
Operates Computer Aided Design (CAD) computer system, to create, update and modify both routine and more complex drawings to be utilized by employees in fabrication and assembly of on-skid mounted gas processing plants. Will work in a Project Lead capacity at times as projects requires.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (following are accountabilities included but not limited to):
- Acts independently to determine methods and processes for complex design assignments.
- Acts as Project Lead for the design on specific projects, being a main point of contact for the department or making project-related decisions for their assigned projects in relation to the design department.
- Continuously looks for ways to improve processes for customers and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Provides guidance on corrective measures to address issues in drawings. Can handle multiple projects quickly and efficiently while identifying issues.
- Acts as a field resource to assist construction in field resolution on medium to complex issues.
- Identifies changes in scope of work during a large project and produces drawing changes as needed to stay within budget and schedule. Can maintain multiple projects at once or be reassigned to other projects if resources needed.
- Serves as a resource to less experienced designers to convey intent and application of company/ department procedures and industry standards to produce quality deliverables

Education, Training and Experience:
- Technical or vocational degree preferred in relevant field.
- Working knowledge of piping design in gas processing industry is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, CADWorx and other 3-D experience is required.
- Between ten and twenty-five years of experience with 3D Modeling and piping design.
Work Context:
- Regularly works in the office but may be required to visit fabrication and field facilities as needed. At those facilities, must be able to work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and other particles.
- Some extended hours may be required to meet project schedules.
