Senior Accountant
Location: San Antonio, TX (Onsite)
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting expertise with proven leadership abilities to drive our financial operations forward.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of accounts receivable and payable, including oversight of billing processes, payment collections, vendor relationships, and payment scheduling
- Direct and optimize financial cycles, taking full responsibility for month-end and year-end closings while maintaining strict compliance with accounting principles and establishing robust internal controls
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis by examining trends, preparing detailed reports, and developing data-driven recommendations to enhance overall financial performance and strategic decision-making
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, including task delegation, performance management, and professional development planning
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and expert-level Excel skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Active CPA certification with commitment to ongoing professional education and development
