We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping as needed.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the culinary team, contributing to a smooth workflow in the kitchen.
- Ensure all food handling procedures are followed to maintain health and safety standards.
- Help organize and store clean dishes and utensils in their designated areas.
- Support banquet operations by preparing dishware for events as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food handling safety practices is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen as needed.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, based on business needs.
- A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service in a culinary setting.
- Must be able to life 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
- You might be asked to do different tasks as unloading boxes and helping out the line cooks.
