We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic team. The Payroll administrator will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now is essential, as this role involves managing payroll for multiple projects and job sites, ensuring proper classifications, prevailing wages, and certified payroll reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple job sites using ADP Workforce Now.
- Ensure accurate wage calculation, job costing, and appropriate union/non-union classifications.
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports, including compliance with prevailing wage laws.
- Maintain and audit timesheets, ensuring approvals, accuracy, and adherence to company policies.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Manage employee payroll records, including onboarding new hires and updating deductions, garnishments, and other payroll changes.
- Coordinate with project managers and HR to verify labor allocations, job costing, and employee classifications.
- Prepare reports related to payroll, taxes, and labor costs for management review.
- Stay current with wage and hour laws, federal and state payroll regulations, and construction-specific compliance requirements.
- Assist with audits, including payroll tax audits, union audits, and certified payroll audits.
- Provide support for employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2-5 years of payroll experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now (preferred).
