What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employment Services Supervisor position at Jay Nolan Community Services?
We are looking for a Employment Services Supervisor to help develop, implement, and supervise Habilitation Services in collaboration with the organization’s Employment Team, Regional Centers, and Department of Rehabilitation.The ideal candidate will be able to run effective meetings, guide staff through their work, and stay on top of their assigned caseload.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assure Quality Services:
- Conduct intake and orientation for new individuals, including assessments and evaluations.
- Develop and monitor Individual Habilitation Service Plans (IHSP) with measurable goals.
- Supervise Job Coaches and ensure quality service delivery.
- Track and manage compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with Employment Services Representatives and Job Developers for on-the-job support.
Assure an Effective Workforce:
- Recruit, screen, hire, and train Job Coaches.
- Supervise and evaluate Job Coaches.
- Provide daily support and training for staff.
Develop and Maintain Effective Relationships:
- Maintain relationships with funding sources and stakeholders.
- Ensure professional conduct and compliance with organizational policies.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
Manage Scheduling and Payroll:
- Manage scheduling and payroll, including overtime.
- Work with the Finance Department for accurate financial documentation.
Administrative Management:
- Submit progress reports and billing records to funding agencies.
- Participate in management team meetings.
- Monitor program and individual files for accuracy.
- Maintain CARF standards and participate in accreditation reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent professional qualification required.
- Three (3) years of relevant experience in vocational training and/or supported employment for individuals with disabilities required.
- Two (2) years of experience in a supervisor/management position preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of the values of inclusion and the ability to support people through a person-centered approach.
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
- Ability to use a smartphone and any related apps for communication and documentation.
- Good organizational skills and people skills.
- Be an effective team member both independently and collaboratively.
