Position Description
The Receptionist is responsible for handling front office reception and administrative duties including greeting guests, answering incoming calls, directing calls as appropriate and responding to inquiries about Jazz at Lincoln Center (JALC) from the general public, clients and customers.
Responsibilities
- Answer main line incoming calls, and direct callers to appropriate employees as necessary.
- Handle and address queries from the public and customers.
- Monitor visitor access and maintain safety and security protocols.
- Greet and direct visitors to the organization.
- Maintain presentable, safe and clean reception area.
- Ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of the organization.
- Provide general administrative and clerical support such as receiving and sorting mail and deliveries.
- Assist with the general maintenance of the kitchen, conference rooms and common areas.
- Schedule appointments; organize conference and meeting room bookings.
- Maintain appointment calendar manually.
- Complete other relevant duties as needed.

Work Hours
Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule 8 : 30a - 5 : 00p.
While it is a flexible work environment, it is not a remote work environment. All staff work together as a team, Monday through Friday at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s administrative offices at 3 Columbus Circle and at Frederick P. Rose Hall, The House of Swing.
