The Receptionist helps support the Utah Jazz and Utah Hockey Club by ensuring that employees, clients, and visitors are greeted promptly and pleasantly, that inquiries are accurately communicated and directed to the appropriate staff member(s), and that support tasks as assigned are completed accurately, timely, and confidentially. This integral position requires organization, communication, professionalism, and customer service. This position is located at South Towne Mall and the weekly schedule will be 12-5 pm Monday through Friday.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pleasantly answers all incoming calls, greets employees, visitors, and clients, and directs inquiries to the proper staff
- Supports the management team by scheduling and organizing meetings as requested
- Ensures the employee common areas are clean, orderly, and safe (free of obstacles)
- Assists in ordering, receiving, and distributing office supplies to the appropriate parties when required
- Handling mail and deliveries, including sorting, distributing, and scheduling additional pickups as needed.
- Provide administrative support to other departments as needed
- Support the HR and Sales departments with scheduling interviews or onboarding new hires as necessary
- Help receptionists at other business locations as needed
- Operate with an emphasis on safety for employees, teams, and guests
- Protect the reputation of the company

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1 – 2 years of applicable experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Displays effective time management skills
- Ability to perform tasks and duties as assigned and within deadlines
- Has basic computer literacy and data entry skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Communicates effectively verbally and in writing, sharing information in a timely manner and maintaining confidentiality as required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
- This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
- This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
- This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
