Receptionist

Whitaker Construction, founded in 1953, has over 70 years of experience in the heavy civil and underground utility construction industry. Whitaker, an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) company, has become one of the largest contractors in the intermountain area with more than 600 employees and nearly 70 crews. We perform sanitary sewer, storm drain, culinary water, irrigation, earthwork, roadway construction, dams, landfills, natural gas pipelines, industrial piping, and telecommunication projects primarily in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Wyoming, Colorado, and Oregon.

Core Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome visitors in person with enthusiasm and professionalism.
• Assists visitors with company check in process.
• Answering incoming calls in a professional, friendly manner.
• Maintains security and issues visitor log.
• Maintains telecommunication system.
• Maintains safe and clean reception area.
• Data entry as required working in applications such as Microsoft Office on a daily basis.
• Filing, scanning and distribution of mail as needed.
• Perform assignments and directives provided by the HR Generalist.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Must be over the age of 18.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must possess a patient and positive demeanor, work well under pressure and have strong organizational skills.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Receptionist / Administrative Assistant.
• The ability to obtain a Food Handlers Permit.
• Works efficiently and manages time effectively.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
