Key Responsibilities :
Performing in-house servicing and repair of orthopedic and neurosurgical medical devices.
Diagnosing, repairing, and testing mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures using established procedures.
Ensuring the quality and traceability of each device through preventative maintenance and programming.
Performing maintenance, cleaning, testing, and calibration of repaired products.
Following clearly defined procedures and tasks, as well as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines, to aid in decision-making during the repair process.
Adhering to detailed instructions and making simple judgments in straightforward situations regarding medical device repairs.
Documenting repair processes, findings, and test results in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Operating specialized tools and testing equipment to perform precise repairs and calibrations.
Identifying recurring technical issues and providing feedback to improve repair processes.
Working collaboratively with engineers and quality teams to enhance repair efficiency and product reliability.
Maintaining a clean and organized workstation, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Managing inventory of spare parts, tools, and testing equipment to support efficient repair operations.
Qualifications :
1 year or more of manufacturing, repair, or similar experience required.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and work instructions.
Basic knowledge of electronic and mechanical components.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Ability to work independently while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
Experience in medical device repair or servicing is a plus.
Familiarity with GMP guidelines and quality control procedures is preferred.
Knowledge of FDA and ISO regulations related to medical device repair is a plus.
Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
