We are looking for a Communication Specialist with a passion for ensuring strong corporate communication services to support JBS in achieving organizational goals and strategies. All communication efforts, underscored by our vision, mission, core values, strategic priorities, and shared stories, will assist in shaping organizational culture while maintaining brand integrity and our corporate reputation.
This is a hybrid position that requires the person to work in the North Bethesda, MD office 2-3 days per week.
Essential job functions
- Manage discrete tasks related to researching, developing, implementing, and evaluating corporate communications campaigns, strategies, and initiatives to promote JBS internally and externally.
- Develop content and visuals for externally facing social media posts, marketing materials, the corporate website as well as internal communications vehicles. Collaborate with staff from other Centers to ensure accuracy of messages, materials, and alignment with the JBS brand.
- Create and maintain content calendars for social media and traditional media that highlight JBS initiatives, successes, and staff.
- Help implement specific tactics for the JBS Outreach and Engagement Plan. Collaborate with design, and content teams to produce high-quality output related to these tactics.
- Coordinate formative research, e.g., focus groups, surveys, etc. to gain insights into internal and external audience needs, and preferences, review data / themes and contribute to corresponding strategies.
- Track and report on communications metrics, help execute needs assessments, dissemination and outreach efforts, and other communications program activities.
