Essential Job Functions
- Manage daily operation from fabrication orders to comply with customer orders
- Maintain acceptable yield levels on all products and from previous day to make necessary adjustments
- Perform safety walks at the start of each period correcting any non-compliance issues
- Work with Quality Control to ensure appropriate product quality
- Follow disciplinary procedures with hourly employees
- Keep track of employee hours
- Contributes to the ongoing development of JBS policies and procedures
- Perform other related duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position
- Experience in fabrication or slaughter operations, preferred but not required
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the meat/food industry, preferred but not required
- Experience leading a team preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exhibit problem solving and leadership qualities
- Establish and maintain working relationships
- Must be able to walk and or climb stairs for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a loud environment with slick floors and very hot or cold environments
- Ability to work 50-55 hours per week with some Saturday work if necessary
- Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time
