Wagyu Brand Relations Manager

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: JBS Imports is seeking an experienced sales professional to lead Business Development activities in the foodservice and retail sales channel. The position will focus on targeting foodservice distribution, restaurant or hospitality groups and retail companies in the USA marketplace for imported Australian Wagyu beef. The ideal candidate for this position is currently or has been in a Senior Sales or Business Development position within a protein sales environment with a strong track record of building new business.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, develop lead generations, and maintain positive relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Regularly analyze market trends, consumer behaviors, and competitors to identify lead generation opportunities.
  • Provide solutions to link supply chain competencies to the needs of multiple entities within the channel.
  • Participate in international trade shows and industry events to represent our brand and products.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals.
  • Handle customer queries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Andrews Meat Industries to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Utilize existing or make recommendations to employ as needed new resources (contractors, brokers, consultants) to achieve sales and new business goals.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture, supply chain or marketing or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the USA protein market.
  • Strong meat knowledge of premium products such as Wagyu. Understanding of Australian Wagyu programs, preferred.
  • Sales and forecasting experience within the industry.
  • Foodservice sales, Butchery, or Chef skills/experience, preferred.
  • Willing and able to travel frequently to various JBS locations, customers and other locations.
  • Adaptable to change and willingness to pivot quickly.
  • Able to work autonomously.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Confident presenting/speaking to large and small groups within the industry.
  • Strong team, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to travel Domestic (USA) & International (Australia) as required
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $80,000 - $90,000;
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
